Help your students to become proficient at creating and using their online accounts by encouraging them to write their account information down. Our school provides agenda planners for all students, and I ask my students to create a page in the back of it where they can write their account information. Too often students will forget their account information, so encouraging them to write it down will help alleviate this problem. Every time we create an account at a website, I remind my students to record their username and password in their agenda planners.
I am trying to get all my 6th graders to create their own websites to use throughout middle school. I'll keep you posted on the success....or lack there of :) haha
ReplyDeleteDefinitely a good strategy to teach them especially to learn early. I used to memorize my logins and at a certain point i just had to start writing them down, so good to start early. For my third graders I gave them a page to keep in class too, to write down their logins. It's good to help them be organized!
